Your 7 Differentiators in Getting Hired
I subscribe to Success Magazine. Believe me, I need it. It is a great subscription but the easy part is that it comes with a CD for audio enjoyment.
In this month’s CD it had an exclusive interview with Don Hutson, Speaker, Sales Trainer, Motivator and Author of the One Minute Entrepreneur. One of Don’s main topics of discussion is ways to differentiate your product (or yourself) and sell more. I would like to take his winning sales strategies and relate them to you and your situation in landing a job.
Don mentions that the 7 differentiators are:
1. Product
2. Price
3. Relationship
4. Experiential
5. Process Differentiation
6. Technology
7. Marketing
Each one of these are more relative to a product or service that you may be selling. Let me tell you that YOU are the product today. You are not the only one looking for a job right now. What the Bureau of Labor & Statistics suggests an unemployment rate of 9.8% right now, I suggest that it is closer to 20% in actuality based on my data and contacts. With that said, you need to take the time right now if you can to create your outline on WHY YOU SHOULD RECEIVE THE OFFER OVER THE NEXT PERSON.
Over the next few days I would like to highlight how you can do this based on these 7 suggestions to differential oneself from the herd.
Keep your head up, this is just a season and it will pass.
Much Success!
